Never say the words ‘I hate you’
You’ll never know the cost you have to pay
Perhaps losing a friend,
Perhaps a lover
And worse, someone special at heart.
You may never earn them back
No matter how huge the price you pay
‘Cos the emotional wound you gave them
Will leave a scar forever.
It takes a lot of courage to try to amend
But more to forgive
And even more to forget
Thus think before we blurt them out
Even in the midst of anger
Before everything is too late
To head for a U-turn.
